Cream of Potato Soup

Just home from doctor visit #1. All went well, by my estimate. I am 6 weeks pregnant, and due on March 23, 2002. The internal was annoying as usual, but everything else was okay. We got a bag of goodies, including charts, guides, several parenting magazines, and my very own urine cup that I am to bring full to each monthly appointment. Yay. We have a sonogram scheduled for Thursday morning. They don't usually do them until about the 20th week, but because of my previous miscarriage, they want to check on things just to make sure all is going well. I am excited to see a picture of our little peanut baby. For now though, it's off to the can.

We've got some preliminary names picked out, we'll have to post a poll or something for input.

Today is doctor appointment #1. We're a bit nervous, but I think, I hope that the information that we get and guidance that we will get will firm up our confidence and let us relax a bit and start to get excited about things.

The other part is that now it becomes real - its one thing to have a test say its real, but it seems all the more concrete coming from a doctor.

Welcome to Post #1 for this new site. In this space we will detail where we are in terms of the baby, and how things are going. Most of you won't find out about this site for awhile yet, and that's okay. The feelings that were having now are probably the most intense we've had, maybe ever, and its important to record those, for you, for us, for baby.
