Today is Grady's first birthday, and he doesn't know enough to be excited. He's spent the morning eating Cheerios and undoing the packing progress I made last night after he went to bed. G loves nothing more than to make a mess, I think.
Mike and I can't believe it's been a year already. It's all gone by so quickly. I can hardly remember Grady's infancy, the days of long nursing sessions and no sleep and waiting for that very first smile or giggle. Now G is rarely without a smile--he's always laughing at his brother's antics or grinning as he gets into something he's not supposed to. He's right on the verge of walking, and once that happens there will be no stopping him.
Grady has been such a joy to our family--he's really made our circle complete. This first year was fun, but I know the adventure is just beginning. So here's to a wonderful first birthday, little man, and much more fun and excitement to come!
