I'm open wide

Ev had his first actual coach pitch practice yesterday. Saturday's got rained out, so last night he finally got to meet his coach and teammates, get the schedule, and run some drills. He's one of the smaller kids on the team, which I didn't really expect, since he falls right in the middle of the pack among his kindergarten classmates. But coach pitch is for ages 6 to 8, so I guess I shouldn't have been that surprised. His skills are right on though--he did very well with catching and hitting, and throwing just needs a bit more control. Any pointers, Jerry?

Evan has also expressed interest in taking swim lessons again. He did that during class when he was in preschool, and once a week in the second quarter in kindergarten, but we haven't done any extracurricular lessons at all. I think this will be good for him, so I'm going to see what we can get set up for the summer. Our previous summers have been filled with school and TSS outings and therapy, so this year is going to be a real change for us. We're going to have to find some fun and different things to keep us busy.
